David M Cohen

David Cohen brings a thoughtful blend of financial expertise, leadership experience, and a genuine passion for helping others build confidence with money.

He spent 32 years at Procter & Gamble in Information Technology, where he led and supported large-scale business transformation initiatives. His work included global systems implementations, data and analytics capabilities, and process optimization efforts. He partnered closely with business leaders to translate strategy into practical solutions, helping organizations operate more efficiently and make better decisions through technology.

Throughout his career, David has taken on roles requiring strong analytical thinking, leadership, clear communication, and the ability to simplify complex ideas into practical actions.

David believes financial literacy is one of the most valuable life skills a person can develop. He recognizes that many adults were never formally taught how to budget, manage credit, save effectively, or plan for the future. His goal is to help people replace uncertainty with understanding and to show that financial success comes from mastering practical habits rather than chasing quick fixes.

David has been a certified SCORE mentor since 2020, where he has coached entrepreneurs across all aspects of building a business, including marketing, operations, personnel, and product development.

In his role supporting the Money 101 Education program, he focuses on personal finance, helping individuals organize their finances, prepare a personal financial statement, understand cash flow, and create a clear roadmap toward stability and long-term wealth before beginning their entrepreneurial journey. He believes solid planning meaningfully increases the likelihood of success.

He is especially motivated by seeing people gain clarity and confidence as they begin making smarter decisions for themselves and their families.

David’s warm, approachable style helps students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. He believes that no matter where someone starts, it is never too late to improve financial knowledge and take positive steps forward.

David is an avid cyclist who enjoys riding along the beach road in South Florida. Early morning rides with the ocean breeze and longer weekend routes give him time to recharge, think clearly, and take in the scenery.
