Monika Robertson

Monika Robertson brings a powerful combination of corporate leadership, risk management expertise, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.

Her career spans business management, compliance, operations, and risk oversight.

Monika has led teams at Rensselaer Polytechnic University (RPI) and Roberts Wesleyan University, both higher education institutions. She also worked for Goodwill, where she was a “Spirit Reward” recipient.

She has served in leadership roles overseeing business strategy, workforce planning, legal operations, insurance matters, and continuity planning—work that requires organization, sound judgment, and the ability to simplify complex topics for others. Her professional background gives her a unique understanding of how planning ahead, managing risk, and making wise financial choices can create long-term stability and opportunity.

As a SCORE volunteer and financial literacy teacher with Money 101 Education, she is eager to help students build confidence, make informed financial decisions, and build a stronger future for themselves and their families.

What makes Monika especially well-suited for Money 101 Education is her warm, practical, and encouraging style. She understands that many adults want better control of their finances, but lack the tools with the basics of budgeting, saving, credit, insurance, or wealth-building—and she believes it is never too late to take control of your finances. Her goal is to make personal finance approachable, empowering, and even enjoyable.

Whether she is helping someone prepare a household budget, understand a personal financial statement, or take steps toward a major goal such as homeownership or retirement, Monika meets students where they are and helps them move forward with confidence. Students can expect practical guidance, real-world insight, and a teacher who genuinely cares about their success.
