Angelo is an Economics student at the University of Michigan who brings energy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help others.
He serves as Director of Recruiting and Treasurer for a student-led organization, where he has strengthened his leadership, organizational, and communication skills and learned to work effectively with a team and turn ideas into action.
In 2026, Angelo will intern with the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC), Detroit’s lead economic development organization. DEGC works to create jobs, attract investment, and support neighborhood growth across the city. Angelo is excited about the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in how financial and operational decisions are made—and how thoughtful leadership can positively impact the lives of residents and small businesses
PASSION FOR HELPING OTHERS
Angelo is passionate about financial literacy because he understands its importance in people’s lives. He recognizes the impact that practical money skills—such as budgeting, saving for retirement, using credit wisely, and investing thoughtfully—can make in creating opportunity, reducing stress, and building long-term financial stability. He also understands that many people are never given clear guidance in these areas.
That understanding inspires Angelo to help others build a stronger financial foundation so they can feel more confident about their future. He believes financial concepts do not need to be complicated, and that even a simple, practical understanding of money can empower people to make smarter decisions and open doors that might otherwise remain closed.
