FOUNDATION
Five classes covering – W-2 employment, compensation, and benefits including retirement plans. Understanding Independent Contractor earnings (1099) and tax challenges to being a business owner. Getting a helicopter view of your finances by creating a Cash Flow statement (aka Budget) and a Personal Financial Statement to have a starting point from which you can make educated decisions on how to improve your finances. Understanding Credit be Loan Ready. At the end of the segment, participants will be able to know track and improve their net worth.
INVESTMENTS
Five classes covering – The steps to building wealth through different investments. Creating an Emergency Fund, Understanding Stocks and Bonds, Real Estate Investment Trusts. What is the difference between Mutual Funds and Electronic Traded Funds. How to Do Fund Research using Morningstar. Choosing an Appropriate Investment Strategy Based on when you need your Money, Understand Fees and how to Minimize Costs. At the end of the segment, participants should be able to select investments to match their needs.
TAXATION
Five classes covering – the United States IRS Form 1040 Personal Tax Return, Reporting Business & Self Employment Income (Schedule C), Calculating Self-Employment Taxes, Home Office Deductions and Qualified Business Income Credit. Understanding the Standard vs. Itemized Deductions and which to use. How to Use the IRS Tax Charts to calculate tax due. Understanding Estimated Tax Payments and How to Avoid Penalties for Tax Underpayment. At the end of the segment, participants should be able to complete a tax return.
REAL ESTATE
